City of Milwaukee

Up bound in Lake Huron, the 139 foot barque sailed into history while carrying a load of limestone. Built during the civil war (1861), she is unique with beautiful roses, intricate and delicate maple leaves and ears of corn carved on her bow stem. Beneath her bowsprit is a very rare and intact figurehead that is still in place 115 years after her sinking. The City of Milwaukee is a unique and exciting "swim back into time" when sailing ships dominated the lakes.
